We are proud to be an authorised Autoterm installer, offering professional fitting of the Autoterm 2kW diesel heater — supplied with a full 2-year manufacturer’s guarantee.

Installations are carried out at our Nottingham workshop and are fully compatible with all campervan parts we supply, including the CTA swivel seat base and leisure battery systems.

This externally mounted heater fits neatly beneath the driver’s seat of your VW Transporter, with the heat outlet vent positioned at the rear of the seat for optimal air distribution.

The Autoterm 2kW diesel heater is exceptionally quiet in operation, thanks to its ultra-quiet fuel pump. Despite its low noise levels, it delivers powerful and reliable performance, making it our top recommendation for VW Transporter heating.

Have an error code flashing on your Autoterm 2kw diesel heater?

Like all diesel heaters on the market, the Autoterm 2kw diesel heater sometimes takes a while to prime (purge the air from the fuel supply pipe) before it will fire up. If the heater is not in regular use it will take longer to prime the system.
The heater will attempt to prime itself when you press the start/heat button on your controller, however it will only attempt to do this for a short time, possibly not long enough to successfully prime itself.
If you have an unsuccessful heater start, then try to start it again, often two or three attempts will be fine if the heater has been stood for a while. If, however, this method is not working then try removing the heaters power (fuse) for ten seconds, then put the fuse back in and press start, this will reset the heater fault.

Have a blank screen on your Autoterm 2kw diesel heater?

If the screen on the Autoterm has become unresponsive or totally blank you simply need to remove power to the heater for 10 seconds. This can be done by pulling the (white 25amp) fuse out temporarily then putting it back 10 seconds later or by disconnecting the negative wire from your leisure battery or starter battery depending on your setup.

      Notes:

Keep the inlet and outlet uncovered, clean and clear of items that could fall into the vents

The heater may not run if your diesel fuel tank is too low

The heater may not run if the van is parked on an incline as the pickup may be above the fuel level

Water, bio-diesel, petrol and dirt can cause issues with any VW Transporter heater, especially in older vans, the fuel tank should be drained and cleaned out if you suspect contamination (we do not offer this)

To avoid technical problems with VW Transporter heater, turn it on regularly - once every fortnight, on maximum power for 30 minutes even in the summer. These simple steps will make using the heater straight-forward.
